چکیده
Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease of children and young adults that may occur as an uncommon complication 7–10 years after measles infection. In – endemic countries like India, the incidence this fatal high more number new cases are detected in recent times. case series, we have presented three SSPE between 4 5 age group, with abnormal movement neuroregression diagnosed by characteristic clinical features, raised anti-measles antibody titer CSF, typical Electroencephalography findings. All them had history infection before vaccination very short latency period development SSPE. They were discharged stable condition treatment oral Isoprinosine intrathecal Interferon alfa 2b. Early presentation, period, apparently good response to for time being prompted us present these cases.

Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis is a neurodegenerative disease secondary to measles infection that usually has a typical presentation with progressive myoclonia, cognitive decline, and periodic slow-wave complexes on electroencephalography. We report two pediatric cases who presented with periodic myoclonic jerks and cognitive decline. In both cases, the electroencephalogram showed continuo...
